Fans of Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site will love this book. It’s visually entertaining as well as full of fun facts. It depicts women, men, the occasional dog in a truck, and even brings in the food truck for lunch break. Kids are fascinated by large machinery and will learn the names of the vehicles quickly.
As with all the “Hello World” series this book is colorful, presents the concepts in a way that small children will understand, and is extremely educational. The larger text is simple for young infants and toddlers, but the subtext, in finer print, definitely presents concepts for older kids, as well as some adults. It’s also a great book for early readers to read to their younger siblings.
The artwork is bright, interesting, and detailed enough to keep readers enthralled without being so detailed you miss the proverbial forest for the trees. The quality of the print is exceptional, and the book is sturdy and great for little hands that sometimes throw.
You just can’t miss with the entire “Hello World” series. With 30 books in the series you can find one for just about every interest.
